According to ESPN New York, a New York Mets staffer accidentally forwarded an email containing general manager Sandy Alderson’s credit card info to the team’s press corps.

A Mets staffer accidentally emailed to nearly the entire New York press corps the credit card info, including security code and expiration date, of the team’s general manager.

The email had been intended for a Broadway connection capable of securing tickets for a weekend show.

The Mets’ owners have had their share of financial trouble, and the club’s payroll has shrunk during Alderson’s tenure. Perhaps now some enterprising reporter can figure out the GM’s real spending limit, or go full rogue and sign free-agent shortstop Stephen Drew.
